A Better Way to Turn Knowledge Into Credit
UExcel® is an independent study option for students seeking credit-by-examination (CBE). CBE allows students to demonstrate their knowledge by taking an exam. Unlike other CBE options, when students pass UExcel exams, they earn college credit on an official transcript from Excelsior College, a private, non-profit institution of higher learning that is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) has evaluated and made college credit recommendations for UExcel examinations.
