These entry-level university exams let you study independently and earn American academic credit that you can transfer to the school of your choice. Demonstrate your knowledge and show that you are ready for the demands of studying university-level work in the English language. You’ll earn credit now for introductory courses and then move into more advanced classes at your chosen institution.
Choose From Subjects That Interest You
Choose an exam from a wide variety of introductory courses, including Calculus, Physics, Statistics, and College Writing. Helpful preparation tools are suggested by UExcel that include free content guides, recommended textbooks, free recommended open courseware, and online practice tests. Study and prepare at your own pace and then take the exam at an international Pearson VUE test center. After taking the exam, you will immediately receive a letter grade score. This grade will go on an Excelsior College transcript. If you are not pleased with your grade, you can even retake your test after a 60-day waiting period.
How the Program Works
Receive college credit in three steps through UExcel:
1) Choose the credit-by-examination subject you would like to take. Each exam costs just $95 USD, with no hidden fees, and offers 3 -6 American academic credits. (The specific number of transfer credits may vary depending on the institution you choose).
2) Study and prepare for the exam independently. Comprehensive study materials and practice tests are available for use by students.
3) Take the exam at one of 4,200 convenient Pearson VUE test centers located around the world. With a passing letter grade, the credits you earn go on an official Excelsior College transcript, and can be transferred to thousands of other colleges and universities.
